Tales unfolded under long palms
Life was explored, languages were learned.
Drawings were created, old books were found.
Flavors tried and adventures were had.
All, while the heartbeat of North Africa carried on.

She says this is how she began painting - “Once, as a young girl, I was tending a gaggle of geese. When I got with them to a sandy beach, on the bank of the river, after crossing a field dotted with wild flowers, I began to draw real and imaginary flowers with a stick on the sand… Later, I decided to paint the walls of my house using natural pigments. After that I’ve never stopped drawing and painting.” This lion painting is so terrific!

We are inspired by this painting by painter Francesco Clemente...

We are inspired by this painting by painter Francesco Clemente today - The Four Corners 1985 Gouache on twelve sheets of handmade Pondicherry paper, joined by cotton strips 94 x 94 in (238.8 x 238.8 cm).
